These are real numbers, not a range we walk back on a call. Most engagements land inside them. If yours genuinely does not, we will say so early rather than late.

Unused hours do not roll over — it keeps the model simple. If a tier is consistently under-used we will move you down at renewal rather than quietly keep the difference.
One to two weeks that produce a requirements document, a technical plan, and an estimate we will stand behind. Credited in full toward the project if you sign a statement of work within 30 days. We do not quote a fixed price without it.
| Tier | Range | Timeline | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter / MVP | $20,000 – $60,000 | 6 – 12 weeks | A first working product, or a well-defined replacement for something manual. |
| Small-business custom | $60,000 – $150,000 | 3 – 6 months | Multi-user systems with integrations, roles, and real production requirements. |
| Complex / enterprise | $150,000+ | 6+ months | Priced time & materials against a not-to-exceed cap, reviewed each phase. |
Scope is well defined after discovery.
One price for the whole defined scope. Anything outside it goes through a written change order.
Scope is clear in direction but will evolve.
Two-week sprints at $11,000 – $12,000 each, invoiced per sprint. Our recommended default.
Scope is genuinely open-ended.
Billed monthly against a not-to-exceed cap written into the SOW, so the ceiling is never a surprise.
Sometimes the useful thing is an answer, not a build. Discovery, above, scopes a project you have already decided on; these are standalone — a read on something that already exists, or on a decision you have not made yet. Fixed fee agreed before the work starts, credited toward a build or retainer if you go on to one within 30 days.
| Engagement | Fee | Timeline | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Second opinion | $2,500 | About a week | A written read on an inherited codebase, a vendor’s work, or a proposal you have been handed — what is sound, what is not, and what it would cost to put right. |
| Architecture or code review | $4,500 – $9,000 | 1 – 3 weeks | A prioritized, costed list of what to fix, ranked by risk and effort, with the reasoning attached so your team can argue with it. |
| Roadmap & technical planning | $6,500 – $12,000 | 2 – 4 weeks | A business goal turned into a sequenced technical plan with estimates you can actually budget against — including what to build, buy, or skip. |
The hands-on cloud work these usually lead to — migrations, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cost and performance — is scoped as a build or added to a retainer, and priced the same way as any other project.
Say so and we will send a statement of work rather than book a call. If you would rather talk it through first, that works too.
